depends your workload I guess, if you are just compiling a lot of code or having containers with a non-server-like load, then most of features of this computer are useless. Also GUI software will feel significatively worse.
Lastly, threadripper has a NUMA architecture, which is not very user application friendly. Frankly, they are very bad personal computers in general, only worth if you need that much memory or PCI lines, which doesn't seem to be your case.
That is good for Samsung/Qualcomm/Mediatek/Apple, but let's be honest, it is a failure as a business. Despite of being used on pretty much 100% of all smartphones' SoC, they barely make any money. Also, their designs are lagging behind, M1 and probably Nuvia are example of that.

Obviously not true, but I can see how some might think this if their main comparators are companies that get to $1trn valuations in 30 years. Not every company can or should be a FAANG.
I think their designs are meant to be lagging, M1 isn't "just better" it's a lot more about media encoding and packing more types of cores together, which while innovative is not what ARM should be doing.
ARM makes prototype designs that you can extend, M1 is an absolute success of that model.
Regardless: you say they've failed as a business, your metric is how much they earn from being nearly everywhere.

They're able to innovate and turn a profit with their "modest" income, why do you need them to do more than that? How do you know they would do better with more money?
Intel (yes, apple to oranges) has many orders of magnitude more money, but most of it goes into bureaucracies.

The problem is that the terms are often not understood correctly or confused. Hispanic, indeed, refers to Spanish speakers... of any race. It includes, for example, Spaniards and some Filipinos.
But GP didn't say Hispanic. He was referring to Latin America, whose people are called Latino.
Neither of the terms carry racial connotations. If you're Argentinian of pure Italian descent, you're still Latino. If you're one of the 2 million Spanish speakers of the Philippines, you're Hispanic. If you're one of the Guarani indigenous languages speakers of Paraguay who doesn't speak Spanish at all you're still Latino but not Hispanic.
in my experience is better to have customs hooks like useTimeout (react-use library is awesome) so is easier to test. Mocking hooks feels nice, mocking the browser API not so much...
Maybe unrelated but I think it is a Hyper-v (w10) issue, not a WSL one. At least same thing happened to me some days ago on one VM running on Hyper-v, it went crazy and consume all my 32gb of ram. It seems to be fixed after reducing the number of cores available to it.
Amazon is the biggest leecher in the industry. They haven't open-sourced any meaningful project back to the community and they even prevent its employees to work in any of them[1] on their free-time.
Do they? Nodejs is only backend/builders, so they could be just running javascript on a chrome-like instance, no nodejs involve at first. They probably have the services running on nodejs that poll sensors (or read messages queues) to reduce complexity but not 100% certain.
Node is not for UIs, so they're definitely not using Node for that. It was confirmed that the UIs in the Dragon capsule (which, sorry for being pedantic, is not really the "rocket") ran on top of Chromium. It's possible SpaceX uses Node under the hood somewhere, but I don't believe that has been confirmed anywhere.
Also kind of interesting to note that it's only the Dragon capsule with humans that has controls, the capsule (and rocket) are both autonomous. The controls on the capsule are only there "just in case".
That is not the issue, the issue is that AMD advertise 2700x and 5950x with the same TDP, so at the very least that should means that they both work fine when using the same cooling solution, which is not the case. Using my previous cooler 5950x was throttling at 100 Celsius.
maybe because by definition you lose data on rollbacks? You can re-run all events/messages (if your company architecture supports it) but that gets more complicated, usually patching is easier and faster. Also, downtime.
