No, they don't know when they will decide to turn off their DRM server.

We're not talking ongoing fixes/support here - just the ability to start up this single player game at all. This action encourages future piracy.



Keeping a server up is implying ongoing work though. At the very least you need someone with domain knowledge to keep it properly online and then also to keep everything up to date and fix stuff like vulnerabilities.

Not that I'm shedding a single tear for them.


Very true, I was thinking they should remove the dependency on it.
