Well let's be clear, the Nazis did care about making life better for workers - if those workers were "pure-blood" white male german workers. It's sometimes pointed to by apologists to claim they weren't all bad, that they helped the little guy. But they ignore that everybody else got killed or oppressed. Even women had their hard-won civil rights revoked.
It's important we talk about these things with detail. Quite a large portion of the US wouldn't mind living in a white patriarchal society. We need to remind people what kinds of people make those societies, and what happens in them, lest they be repeated.
My point is that even those favored groups ultimately suffered terribly in the longer term, as a result of their government starting a war with half the world and refusing to seek peace before being utterly destroyed.
Well, that was an outcome of losing the world war, not their socialist policies. I'm not sure the two can be separated, maybe you could imagine the Nazis but without starting world wars.
It was a pretty inherently expansionist ideology. Even if you skip over that, the same idiocy that got them into an unwinnable war with half the world applied elsewhere. I doubt the good times would have lasted either way.
In any case, regardless of inevitability, I think it's important to remind people that the Nazis as they actually happened were a disaster for virtually everyone in Germany, just to preempt any statements about the Nazis actually being good for certain groups.
I agree, we must look at disgusting things and understand them if we truly wish not to end up in the same place again. It's really sad to see I was flagged, downvoted, and somebody called me a white supremacist. Ironically exactly the kind of dogmatism that allows fascist ideology to take root.
Why should it be? The world is more complex and nuanced than "Nazis bad". Yes, they were horrible and despicable. They still enacted some effective policies, and many of them were socialist in nature.
Well it did end up getting flagged and removed. So wherever you think "the line" is for acceptable Nazi apologia on this website is misplaced; tread carefully.

There's a reason the Nazis included "socialist" in their name. It's not because they give a crap about the plebs.
