I don't understand this "we were locked down for months but being locked down for months doesn't count if there's a good reason." Were they locked down or weren't they?
Yes it was months, 107 days in total for Auckland, and the borders were effectively shut across the entire country from March 2020 through to March 2022. It was a huge and significant distruption for many people.
